OvationTix is now compatible with Google Tag Manager, a tracking tag management system that allows you to update tags and code snippets to track your web traffic and digital marketing campaigns. Google Tag Manager is free and to use it, you don’t need to know how to code.

WHO SHOULD USE GTM?
Anyone who wants to track traffic through their OvationTix ticketing storefront can use Google Tag Manager. There are two main ways to use it to keep track of your patrons’ activity.
- Placing Google Analytics Tags into Google Tag manager for:
- Tracking page views and traffic sources
- Tracking ecommerce activity
- Using 3rd party tags to track referrals from your marketing campaigns and ad buys (Facebook campaigns, marketing agency campaigns, etc…)
If you are already using the Google Analytics integration feature within OvationTix, you'll need to plan on moving to Google Tag Manager as only that integration is supported in our new CI.
If you will also want to add 3rd party marketing and conversion tags to your site, moving forward, you’ll need to do so using the Google Tag Manager container. Going this route will also mean switching to setting up tags managed in GTM for your Google Analytics page view and ecommerce tracking.
