Using OvationTix shared payment processor and merchant account? Here are some things to know about how single tickets and package tickets are reported and paid out.
For a ticket sales report, we can use the Wrap Sheet menu option
We can get the same thing by going to Reports > MyReports, selecting "All" from the green Date Range pull down menu, and adding a Ticket Filter: Series filter.
What this shows us, however is only tickets to this show. (Not packages that could be used to book tickets to this show.)
This report also shows tickets booked as part of a package, but not the packages themselves
Package tickets are always listed last in the Details: Tickets portion of the Advanced and Basic Summary pages of the report.
What we are not seeing is a report of the package purchases, just a report of the tickets for this show that were included in packages purchased.
Tickets in a Fixed or FixedPlus package don't have any value themselves. In OvationTix, the money is collected with the package purchase; the tickets in the package are just included for free.
Review Fixed/FixedPlus Package Setup
Let's remind ourselves where that number that we're attributing to a package ticket gets set.
We can go to edit the package under Tools > Packages: Inactive Packages, and then clicking "Edit" for the package we want to examine.
Review per-ticket Accounted Revenue figure
The amounts entered in here aren't set by the system. They are set on tab number 3 by the creator of the package so that ticket sales reports will display the amount attributable to the show based on packages purchased containing that ticket.
Payout for Tickets vs. Payout for Packages
For those utilizing the shared payment processor and merchant account, OvationTix pays out for tickets purchased differently than for non-ticket items such as packages, products, or donations.
Confirm using Transaction Details
Run an unfiltered transaction date report that includes the date range packages including tickets to your show were on sale. On the Transaction Details tab, you can easily see in the Settled column that the package purchase is settled the week following its purchase, while the tickets are settled the week following the performance they were for.
