The gift card functionality in OvationTix, creates a seamless integrated way for your patrons to purchase gift cards for their friends and send them via email, or they can print them out for a more personal delivery.
The card purchase generates a code that is redeemable on the recipient's account only, in the amount purchased.
To create a gift card you need to go to:
TOOLS - GIFT CARDS
You want to choose the ADD A GIFT CARD option.
Notice that there is a preloaded gift card image, but you may upload an image you would rather use. You also have options about suggested amounts, minimum card amount, and points of purchase.
Once the card is built. Buyers can purchase the card, through your directly, our phone room, or on line. They can choose to print the card, or email it to the recipient.
The recipient gets a code, much like any other gift card. To use their card they need to register the code - they can do this with you, with one of our phone room agents, or they can do this on line. IMPORTANT NOTE: Once the recipient registers and begins to use the card, the purchase of the gift card itself will no longer be refundable.
The recipient's patron account will display the available balance, a
First they need to log-in to or create an account on your OT site.
Then they can register their code.
They can also log in at any time to check their gift balance.
Once the code is registered to them, they can purchase against it.
Once you start selling gift cards, under REPORTS you will see a GIFT CARD report. This will let you see total gift cards sold, total redeemed, outstanding balance, etc. You can also look at activity on any particular card.
The original order will have a GIFT CARD TAB that displays whether the code was ever registered.
The recipient's patron account will display the available balance, and if you load their patron account to sell to them, GIFT CARD will be an available payment method.
Our clients have found gift cards to be a very effective way to give their patrons the option of giving and receiving gifts.
