Once you create a series with a set up that you would like to use again, you can use the Copy Series tool to create brand new series from that source series, thereby making new builds a breeze!
To use this feature, hover over Add Series from the top menu, and instead of Add Series, choose Copy Series.
The tool will allow you to first choose a source series, or the "template" series you want to copy from. Then, you can enter the name of the new series you want to create in the provided fields below. You can enter up to 20 new series to copy from the source series. There is a reminder of this at the top of the page. Keep in mind the OvationTix lingo here -- a series is the show itself, not performances or occurrences within the show. Copy Series creates series, not events. Once the series are created, you'll be able to add the different event dates as usual.
Important: Be very mindful of the settings that will be copied over, listed below in the yellow box. We should also note that copy series is to be used only for general admission configurations or series that share the same reserved seating chart. You cannot change seating charts once a series has been copied, or whether or not the series is GA/Reserved.
These settings will be copied: (if applicable)
- Seating Charts / Sections
- Ticketing Settings
- Confirmation Text
- Venue Information
- Supertitle & Subtitle
- Calendar Display Settings
- "Hidden Until" date
- Reference Color
- Ticket Types
- Package Benefits
- Checkout Questions
Important: Pre-show and Post-show emails will also be copied over. Be sure to turn them off/make edits (if needed) for your copied series! You will be able to access these once the series is activated.
Once you have chosen your desired source series and entered the names of the new series you'd like to create, click Start Copying at the bottom of the page.
Once you have copied the series, OvationTix will add it to your Series Under Construction. To proceed, click "Go to my homepage."
Then find the series in the Series Under Construction and click "Continue" as shown below.
You should be familiar with this next page, which is the Add Events section you have seen before when building a new series. You can proceed from here as usual, as well as edit and add anything in the previous steps that need to be adjusted for this particular series by clicking on any of the previous steps.
